Baby blue is a mid sized spruce that reaches heights of between 15 and 20 feet and usually spans anywhere from six to ten feet across. Its branches are horizontal and grow right down to the ground.

Baby blue spruce trees are an improved strain of the colorado blue spruce tree. The baby blue spruce container grown carries a full pyramidal shape with a cone shaped crown and takes its name from the silvery blue color needles and growing slightly smaller than the traditional colorado blue spruce. Growing only a few inches per year it develops a broad pyramidal form. Slower growing than the native colorado spruce this semi dwarf selection is useful for smaller landscapes and confined spaces.
